Thank you.

We call your attention to the new restrictions about liquids in hand baggage. Apart from reading the below mentioned information, we also recommend consulting information in the portuguese National Institute of Civil Aviation (INAC) website.

To protect you against the new threat of liquid explosives, the European Union (EU) has adopted new safety measures that restrict the quantity of liquids that can be carried in hand baggage. These measures apply to all passengers who depart from EU airports independently of their destination.

This means that at search points the passengers and their hand baggage are inspected with regard to liquids and other prohibited articles. Notwithstanding, the new measures do not limit the liquids that can be purchased in the shops located after the departure card control or those which can be acquired on board an aircraft operated by a EU company.

All passengers have to be present at the register moment (check-in) of the flight. When checking-in you must deliver all the travel documentation and your baggage, to the check-in agent in order to enable the procedures required by the safety norms in force. Check-in will only be done for passengers who present themselves with all documentation, including air ticket, passport and visa and vaccines (if applicable).

In order to complete all formalities in time, we recommend passengers to attend the check-in counter three hours before the departure time regarding long-haul flights and two hours before in medium-haul flights.

For you own safety we advise you not to carry articles from third parties without knowing their content when you travel.

All hand and hold baggage is submitted to safety controls as they cannot contain prohibited articles. To know which are the prohibited articles, we suggest you to consult the portuguese National Institute of Civil Aviation website.
